It was a great shooting night for San Salvador especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Dominican Bernardo Polanco (189-1994, agency: BMS Sport Agency) scored 41 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Cuban swingman Neysser Coutin (192-1996, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. American guard Caleb Bowser (193, college: Georgian Court) responded with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import swingman Andravious Smith (198-1995, college: Tougaloo) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists.

Brujos' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
